Study: House music is more relaxing than hip-hop

According to a new study from the University of Michigan, house music has a significantly lower stress and anxiety level compared to hip-hoppers.

The study, which surveyed nearly 200,000 adults, showed that when asked about their favorite music genres, participants indicated that house music was their favorite.

House music was also rated as having a more relaxing effect on their mind and body than hip hop.

Overall, the researchers found that people who prefer house music were more likely to report that they had been physically stimulated while listening to the music, compared to those who prefer hip hop, and more likely than those who preferred hip-hops to house music to report feeling emotionally calm.

The findings are based on an analysis of data from a nationwide survey conducted from May 1, 2013 to June 30, 2013.
