‘The Hill’ returns to air on CBS after 10 seasons on PBS
CBS will begin airing its new “The Hill” on Friday night.
The Hill’s original series, which ran from 2005 to 2018, featured political and policy analysts in a panel format.
The new series, slated to debut on PBS, will be different, featuring interviews and panel discussions with top lawmakers and policy experts.
“The Hill,” the CBS drama that has garnered two Emmy nominations and spawned a film, will debut its 10th season on PBS in 2019.
The Hill’s ratings have been strong in the last few years.
Its 10th episode of the current season was viewed by more than 40 million people.
The show has a 3.9 rating among adults 18-49, up 20 percent from last year.
“The Hills” averaged 2.1 million viewers, up 16 percent from its 2016 season.
